We've all been blessed at some point in our lives by the hands of a loving nurse.  From the day we are born until our last breath, these special people have helped us along the way.

May 6 - 12 is National Nurses Week, where nurses all over the country are recognized for their outstanding work.  The News & Observer has partnered with North Carolina Nurses Association to recognize 10 outstanding nurses in the Triangle.

To nominate a nurse who has made an impact in your life, please submit your story.

Nurses will be chosen by the  awards committee of the NCNA and will appear in a Special Section in The News & Observer on Sunday, May 4. 

Only registered RNs qualify and must work in the counties of Person, Granville, Vance, Orange, Durham, Wake, Franklin, Johnston, Lee, and the northern half of Moore counties as recognized by NCNA.
